This activity is designed for gynecologists, obstetrics and gynecologists, and nurses.
After participating in this activity learners should be better able to:
- Examine the incidence of surgical site infection (SSI) following cesarean section
- Recognize the physical and emotional burdens on the patient and financial burden on the health care system of SSIs post- cesarean section
- Investigate the importance of timely treatment of biofilm in the immediate and intra-operative period
- Examine approaches to evaluating new surgical antibiofilm technology
To be eligible for credit, participants must complete the online activity and the evaluation. Upon completing the activity, there will be instructions on how to complete the evaluation and print a certificate or other documentation of credit.
