Learning Objectives

After completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Distinguish between the multiple clinical presentations of asthma in terms of symptomology, diagnostic criteria, and comorbid conditions in order to reach an informed, accurate diagnosis
  • Outline the efficacy, safety, and mechanisms of action of new and emerging biologics for the targeted treatment of severe asthma
  • Design and implement severe asthma treatment plans that incorporate pharmacotherapy tailored to individual phenotypes and endotypes
  • Employ PCMH standards, guidelines, and measures to provide coordinated, individualized asthma care and improve patient adherence and outcomes
