INTENDED LEARNERS

This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, podiatrists. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participating in this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Describe key updates in the evidence related to technology for detection, prevention, and treatment of pressure injuries
  • Explore the role of support surfaces, heel protection, and turning and positioning technologies, prophylactic dressings, patient monitoring systems, negative pressure wound therapy, nutritional supplementation, low friction co-efficient linen systems, and incontinence management in pressure injury detection, prevention and treatment.
CLAIMING CREDIT

To be eligible for credit, participants must complete the online activity, a post-test assessment, and the evaluation by December 31, 2020. Upon completing the activity, there will be instructions on how to print a certificate or other documentation of credit.
