This activity is designed for interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, nurses, PAs, and vascular and interventional techs. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participating in this activity, learners should be better able to:

  • Identify various access points, and types of closure applicable during an endovascular procedure.
  • Understand the benefits and risks associated with a radial approach vs femoral approach.
  • Apply information about groin management to practice while obtaining femoral access and closure.
  • Apply information about the radial arch to practice while obtaining radial access.
  • Identify and utilize commercially available devices for radial and femoral access.

To be eligible for credit, participants must complete the online activity and the evaluation. Upon completing the activity, there will be instructions on how to complete the evaluation and print a certificate or other documentation of credit.
