This activity is designed for physicians, physicians assistants, nurses and pharmacists. 

lEARNING OBJECTIVES

After participating in this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Recognize the clinical, economic, and psychosocial burdens resulting from SMA.
  • Apply recent findings on the pathophysiology of SMA to analyze new and emerging therapies, with regard to their mechanisms of action, indications, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop system-wide strategies to improve the recognition and treatment of SMA, including patient- and provider-targeted education of recent therapeutic developments.
