This activity is designed for pharmacists.
After participating in this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Identify at-risk patient populations by comorbid disorders and use of medications known to increase serum potassium levels
- Review latest clinical data to evaluate the mechanism, safety, and efficacy of all available potassium binders and develop strategies to integrate this information into pharmacy protocols
- Provide relevant information and recommendations to inform discussions with patients, clinicians, and formulary committees
To be eligible for credit, participants must complete the online activity, a post-test assessment, and the evaluation by May 13, 2021. Upon completing the activity, there will be instructions on how to print a certificate or other documentation of credit.
