Target Audience:
Nurses and technologists who treat patients with malignant ascites
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:
-Discuss the clinical manifestations of malignant ascites
-Describe the limitations of the current treatment of repeat large volume paracentesis
-Discuss the safety and efficacy of catheter based treatment such as peritoneal catheter and peritoneal ports.
Successful Completion:
Successful completion entails participants obtaining a score of at least 75% on the post-test. A certificate of completion will be mailed to the address listed on your post-test/evaluation form within 6 weeks of receipt of the documents.
