This activity is designed for physicians, podiatrists, physical therapists, and nurses who treat patients at risk for developing pressure ulcers.
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the clinical, legal, and regulatory implications of pressure ulcer development
- Identify risk factors associated with the development of heel pressure ulcers
- Implement the latest best practices for prevention of pressure ulcer development, such as heel pressure ulcers and incontinence associated dermatitis
- Implement effective repositioning protocols to prevent the development of pressure ulcers
