Our Continuing Medical Education mission is to provide an educational forum to examine health care issues, technologies, and therapies designed for the advancement of science and medicine. Additionally, our expected results are:

Measurement tools used to collect data about identified and achieved results include attendee evaluation forms as well as statistics regarding participant demographics.
The scope of our activities, which is based on careful needs assessment from a variety of sources, include, but is not limited to, primary care, internal medicine, family practice, and geriatrics. Special areas of emphasis have included cardiology, dermatology, wound care, podiatry and oncology.
Our target audience is primary care physicians with a secondary audience including medical specialists appropriate to the educational material presented. As we believe that many medical challenges involve a team approach, allied health practitioners are also invited to participate in selected activities.
The types of activities and services offered include multi-day conferences, symposia, one-day seminars and workshops, hands-on laboratory training sessions, satellite videoconferencing, web-casting and assorted enduring materials.
The North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME) participates in joint-sponsorship of continuing medical education activities with non-accredited providers. The North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME) will ensure that the ACCMEs Accreditation Policies and Procedures are met when educational activities are planned and presented in joint-sponsorship.
The North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME) CME Department will perform three types of evaluation in order to assess results of educational activities and overall performance Annual, Concurrent and Post-Activity Follow-Up. Evaluation will complete the planning cycle, will assure that the North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME)s CME mission is being met and will lead to the refinement of future activities.
